The photo that made you want Dubai — the tall, deep-red dunes glowing at golden hour — that's Lahbab. Roughly 50 minutes and 50 to 60 km from the city, where the sand turns iron-oxide red and the dunes climb 80 to 100 metres. This is where we run.
Most budget tours never get there. They stop at the flat, golden dunes of Al Awir, close to the city, because it's quick and cheap. It's a desert — but it isn't this one. No tall red walls of sand, no real dune bashing, no landscape worth the photo.
We built Desert Thrill around the real thing. The dune bashing, the sandboarding, the sunset photo stop — all of it happens on the Lahbab red dunes. A proper desert safari, not a short ride over flat sand.

1000CC Polaris Four Seater Buggy Drive
Put the whole group in one 1000CC Polaris four-seater and drive the Lahbab red dunes together. One adult takes the wheel, three ride alongside. Drivers swap at the rest stops, so more than one person gets seat time. A lead guide sets the route and holds the pace where the group is comfortable. Choose your seat time. The 30-minute run is the quick way to get everyone into a buggy. One hour is our usual recommendation for families, fun without getting punishing. Two hours is the full session, across terrain that keeps changing under the wheels. Every session opens with a full safety briefing, and gear is included. A support vehicle stays with the group throughout. Hotel pickup is not included on buggy sessions. Add it for AED 200 if you would rather not drive out yourself.

The minimum age for drivers is 16. Younger passengers (typically from 4-10 years) can ride along. Drivers sign a standard waiver before the activity. It is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with serious back, neck or heart conditions.
