The photo that made you want Dubai — the tall, deep-red dunes glowing at golden hour — that's Lahbab. Roughly 50 minutes and 50 to 60 km from the city, where the sand turns iron-oxide red and the dunes climb 80 to 100 metres. This is where we run.
Most budget tours never get there. They stop at the flat, golden dunes of Al Awir, close to the city, because it's quick and cheap. It's a desert — but it isn't this one. No tall red walls of sand, no real dune bashing, no landscape worth the photo.

Journey to the Red Sands
Leave the city skyline behind as you head towards the famous Lahbab Desert. During the 45-minute drive, watch the landscape transform from urban architecture to sweeping, flat desert, and finally into the dramatic, towering red dunes.

Convoy Assembly & Preparation
Upon arriving at the desert edge, we make a short pit stop. While you take a quick break to stretch your legs, your driver will expertly deflate the 4x4’s tires—a crucial step to ensure maximum traction and safety for the deep-sand driving ahead.
Stop 4
Extreme Red Dune Bashing
Strap in for the main event. Your expert driver will navigate the massive 100-meter dunes, offering a thrilling, 40 to 45-minute rollercoaster ride across the sand. Feel the adrenaline as the vehicle drifts, climbs, and dives through the pristine, rugged terrain.

Tire Inflation & Desert Exit
Say goodbye to the dunes as we drive back to the desert highway. We will make a brief stop to re-inflate the tires for the city roads.

By skipping the traditional Bedouin camp and dinner, we maximize your time on the spectacular Lahbab red dunes and get you back to your hotel in time for your evening plans in the city.
We offer two pricing tiers: Shared Experience (100 AED per person): You will share a 4x4 Land Cruiser with other guests (up to 6 passengers total). Private Vehicle (600 AED per car): Book an entire 4x4 exclusively for your group (up to 6 passengers). This is our most popular option for families and serious photographers, as it allows for a more personalized pace during the photo stops.
Yes! Both our shared and private packages include seamless, round-trip transport in an air-conditioned 4x4 directly from your Dubai hotel or residence.
Dune bashing is highly thrilling but completely safe when led by our government-certified safari drivers. However, because the ride is very bumpy and turbulent, it is strictly not permitted for pregnant women, infants under 3 years old, or guests with severe back, neck, or heart conditions.
Dress for comfort and mobility. Loose, breathable fabrics are best. Wear secure footwear like sneakers or strapped sandals (avoid high heels). Crucial tip: Bring a light jacket or sweater! The desert is warm in the afternoon but cools down remarkably fast the moment the sun sets in winter.
There are clean restroom facilities at our tire-deflation pit stop right before we enter the deep desert. However, there are no restrooms during the 45-minute dune bashing session or at the remote sunset photography location.
Dune bashing is essentially a rollercoaster on sand. If you are prone to car sickness or seasickness, we highly recommend taking an over-the-counter motion sickness pill 30 to 60 minutes before your pickup time. We also recommend eating only a light meal beforehand.
We provide complimentary cold bottled water throughout the journey to keep you hydrated. Because this is a focused 4-hour excursion, heavy meals are not included.
