Yes. We arrive at the mosque at about 10:00–10:30 AM, before Friday prayer, so the Friday visit is shorter than on other days.

Yes, if you want to see Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which is the main reason most visitors go. Abu Dhabi is about 90 minutes from Dubai by road, so you leave in the morning and are back the same day. A half day covers the mosque and photo stops; a full day adds Qasr Al Watan or the Louvre.
Choose the half day if the Grand Mosque is your priority and you want the evening back in Dubai. Choose the full day for the mosque plus Qasr Al Watan and the Etihad Towers observation deck, or the Cultural Gems day for the Louvre with your ticket included.
